You bet! They have since they were little. I've always tried to teach them to Reduce and Reuse first, then Recycle when we've squeezed the life out of something! *gg*

Somewhat. We compost and use the mucked up hay from the coop in our garden. We reuse paper bags and some plastics. We aren't militant about it, though.

Yep--apparently, she has been learning a lot in school too.  She saw me put a bottle in the garbage, and she explained to me that I should recycle it and why.  Of course, we have a container for bottles, cans, etc..  I just wasn't thinking.

absolutely. He is 4 years old and we have been recycling for years. He even knows what the recycle symbol looks like. He looks for it on all our trash before he decides if we should recycle something. We also go out in the desert and pick up trash (cans, bottles brass etc.) It is one of his favorite things to do on a lazy summer day.

Sort of.. My son understands that we put cardboard into our recycling bin & the garbage bags into the garbage cans..
