Getting your family to eat more veggies isn't always a simple task.
We gave 50 moms Green Giant's newest veggie products, Macaroni & Cheese Sauce with Broccoli and Pasta & Vegetables with Alfredo Sauce, and asked them to try it with their families. Then we asked them to share their family's opinions with you.
How do you get your kids to double up on their veggies?
Check out what these moms thought about Green Giant vegetables:
"My son said it was great because he can make it after school by himself or help with making dinner because it was so easy to make." – StephanAndCoral
"My boys both asked for seconds...my youngest love the creamy cheese sauce. I will be buying this kind again!" – amy7243
"My kids liked the Macaroni & Cheese Sauce with Broccoli; I liked the ease of making it, great for those busy days!" – supermeof3

I was excited to use the Green Giant Valley Fresh Steamer coupons to purchase the Mac & cheese with broccoli and cheese sauce and the Pasta & vegetables with alfredo sauce. I'm sad to say that my family can't eat either meal because they both contain gelatin :( We don't eat gelatin. I'm confused as to why either product would need gelatin along with some not so healthy ingredients. I will be passing the coupons along to someone who can use them.
I've always assumed those 'veggies and sauce' things would have a load of junk in them, so I've never even looked at them. I have made cauliflower with home made cheese sauce before now, and the kids did pay a little more attention to the cauliflower than they do otherwise. I just need to figure out how to make the sauce corn and wheat free, now that my son is avoiding those.
My grandkids just love the raw veggies with a dip. For a while anything that could be dipped, they would eat. They ate the chicken nuggest with sauce to dip and loved carrots. Didn't care much for broccoli though. Might be able to chop smaller and put in some casserole perhaps. They do love tacos and so their dad makes homemade tortillas and they have a big salad and lettuce and tomatoes on their tacos (soft shell) or have a taco salad with the tortillas. then I have one grandchild who is allertgic to cauliflower and broccoli and just about everything. I have no idea what she eats or can eat.
With cheese sauce I will triple up on my veggies. YUMMMM
My 4 year old I have to sneak him the veggies. Pureed cauliflower in his "alfredo" sauce. Spinach in brownies... etc..
My baby will eat veggies, especially with something yummy on them. I know with cheese sauce he'll be all over it.
I can't wait to hear what they have to say. We don't really like sauces on our veggies, just eat them plain. Maybe they will have some good feedback that will make us want to try them!

I never have leftovers of veggies. They are always the first things to go of the food that was made. We rarely use sauces either. They jsut like the veggies themselves.
