Recipe Review: Crockpot Quinoa Red Lentil Soup

I made quinoa red lentil soup today.  I knew it was a little adventurous for my family based on the spices.  The ginger, cinnamon, fennel, coriander & turmeric made it smell like pumpkin pie, LOL.  I used butternut squash in place of the cauliflower.

I might make a quinoa lentil soup again, but not with these flavorings.  No one liked it & the leftovers are getting composted.  :-(  The sweet flavor was very odd to us, it's not what we're used to!

But we tried something new!  :-)

I'm sorry you didn't like this but I'm glad I took a second look at the ingredients.  I think I'd love those flavors.  I hope your next new meal will be better.  :)

Good for you trying out a new dish!  It doesn't always work out, but like you said....at least you tried it, and now you know those spices aren't for you.

That is awesome you tried it! This makes me want to make it though, ha. Those sound like flavors we love. Almost like this pumpkin ravioli that I make! Yum.
