I'm not a mom, but I work with kids who have special needs :)
Hi Everyone, just wanted to introduce myself!
I'm not a mom but I work with kids who have special needs. Right now my clients are from 3-12 yrs. old and have Autism, Aspergers, and Down Syndrome. I've worked with older kids too, up to 18 years old. I'm a Behavior Therapist and I did use ABA at my previous job but at my current one we focus mainly on play-based therapy (or PRT - Pivitol Response Training). So I have experience on both ends and I've been doing this specifically, for about 3 years. My mom was also a job coach for adults with special needs and she's been great with giving me her input when I'm having a hard time with some of the older kids. Anyways, I just wanted to say if you have a question or need advice when it comes to behaviors and different methods and strategies you should use, I'm here to help! :)

@darbyakeep45: you're right, with ABA I've always seen quick and sometimes dramatic results! Key is to have everyone around follow the program and sometimes it's hard to get everyone to really participate but once they do it's almost like night and day!
