No. It was suggested but They were worried about suffocation because DS doesn't have the strength or coordination.

We tried it for sleep, but to get any benefit it had to be too heavy.  He does have a weighted belt for when he needs to be a bit calmer in large groups.

I have been thinking about getting my ds a lap pad. But I haven't tried the weighted blanket.

We were suggested one.  I had reservations...so we just tuck his comforter around him tight every nite.  Seems to work well.

Yes. My 3 yr old uses a weighted blanket every night for the past 3 months. We've had it almost 2 yrs but he did not like it. It is very heavy due to his need for deep pressure.
He is now on a medicine to help him sleep and it was just ok. Once we started using the weighted blanket in conjunction to the med, his sleep really improved....no where near normal but muuuch better.
His OT just suggested a lap pad also.

Nope, but I've heard they do well for a lot of kids!
