Frustrated!!! UGH.

My3yr old DD has CP due to non-accidental trauma.  We just completed 5 weeks of serial casting to stretch her leg.  Now she cannot walk without her braces because of muscle wasting since she was not using her muscle while casted.  We take 1 step forward and 2 steps back.  I get so frusterated.  I just want to make it all better for her.

((hugs))

It is very frustrating! My ds was walking with his gait trainer, then grew so his muscles wouldn't work the same anymore. Same thing with Botox. It seems like everything done to help makes them go backwards. It's always one thing or another. I get very frustrated too.

Thinking of you and hugs!! My 18 yr old also has cerebral palsy--seem like step backwards and forwards and backwards and forwards--Talk to me anytime!!!  We always have to get his braces adjusted so he don't get sores and he walks in a gait trainer--

Oh wow sweetie I'm so sorry that you are going through this. My son has CP too but never has walked yet. But his muscle tone is so high idk if he'll ever be able too.
