My son is 19 yrs old and goes to school at 21 --honestly I did not ask that question yet--hmm--now I am going to have to next year or this summer-since she is teaching the extended school year this year--
Welcome to the group!!
Is it from the school or the Intermediate Unit? Actually since he did not get anything the past school year since he was finishing 12 th grade I had a big 18th birthday party for him--lots of family and friends at the home and things he like to do--

I never thought about that. How do they do things like that?
because my daughter is mr she has a mental retardation disorder and in a self contame classroom s
he will only get and certificate
i can honestly tell that if your child is in a self contained special class - that they do only get a certificate of completion we have lived in several states due to hubby's job.. now also some parents do not know that the federal law is that the school distirct has to provide services through their 21 birthday-no til. that means if your child is 21 at the beginning of the year- they can stil go to school.

It's really sad, I know.
Do you think she could ever pass the GED? That is an option if you think she would want to go to college.
I'm sorry mama! I haven't ever thought it about it to be honest...until now...it's tough!
his teacher told us that this year about through 21 ---
