When did your child give up naps?

When did your child (SN or not) give up their daytime nap?

Brady will be 4 in October, and he's in the process of giving up his nap...it's been a trying time but I'll be SO glad when we're completely out of this nap stage!  He's such a stinker!

the day after he turned 3 he stopped napping. He told me he was a big boy (since we gave away his binky's to the babies at the hospital on his 3rd birthday... on the way to the party!) and that big boys like daddy didnt nap.
I put him in his toddler bed as usual at naptime... and I heard " You may as well come and get me... cause I am NOT going to sleep mom!"  LOL..I gave it another 15 minutes and went in-- he was wide awake looking at me with his big brown cow eyes and said "I told you... Im a big boy!"

My DD was about 2. Both of my boys napped a little longer (3 and 5-ish). My little guy with SN did nap the longest. Even when he gave up real napping on a daily basis, he would still fall asleep in the car in the afternoons sometimes and would ocassionally take what i used to call a "catch up" nap. It was actually one reason why we delayed K a year. He really didn't have the stamina for a full-day program until about Spring of last year, when was 5 going on 6. But did great this year!

Probably about 3.  They still take naps occassionally, usually if they're not feeling good or had a late night/early morning

If my ds has had a very long nap and had to skip naps-he is grumpy and ends up taking like 3 naps another day-he just lays down and asks to lay down--keeps rubbing his eyes and signing sleep-He likes (and needs for sure his) to sleep!!
