Touchy subject with some people, I know...but I wanted to bring it up to say that I'm SO glad that our SN children will not be denied health insurance based on their current conditions!  That's only fair, and with the way things were before with healthcare, they could never get healthcare on their own due to their pre-existing conditions...not anymore!

I'm glad to know that Brady will always have the option for healthcare and not be denied based on his diagnoses.

SIDENOTE- This post is NOT meant to start a political debate...I'm simply stating the ONE thing about this new healthcare plan/policy that I think will be good for our SN children, that's all. Please know that I'm being positive and not trying to start any arguments with anyone:)

This is honestly the only part of this new healthcare plan that I agree with...just my opinion:)  To each their own!

I agree with almost all of it- but yes, the no lifetime cap and the no denial for pre existing conditions is huge for all of us in this group!! :)

I am 100% for it and so glad that at least one stress is gone. Now if we could only get the insurance to pay for ALL 16 of his daily meds and all of his incontinence supplies we would be all good!

I agree'd but i was reading on a news website that brought up a good question...

will health care providers be over runned with all the newly insured people ?
i mean right now there is sometimes waits to get into  specialist etc..    what happens when more people have insurance ?    Makes u wonder
By the way ur talking to someone that currently doesn' t have insurance for myself.... nor hubby.  Kids are covered thank goodness.......     also when i was insured through the state cause i lost my job..   i couldn't even get into a dentist because they were all packed....   i mean one dentist office had a 600 person waiting list.....   what happens then?

I am glad for that too! There are parts I am good with and others that scare me but honestly I don't know enough to form an "official" opinion. But I am glad that Ty will always be able to get insurance.
