My son was in infants and toddlers from birth, then did early childhood intervention and is now going into 1st grade in a multiple intensive needs class with inclusion in the typical classroom for about 40% of the schoolday. I think it has helped him tremendously and he loves school!

My son started at the end of kindergarten. He started going 4 times a day at the start of first grade and within weeks he was saying his alpabet. Now he is starting to read on his own and he will be in 3rd grade in the fall and I contribute most of his success to the help of the special needs class. I would be lost without them.

It has made so much difference. We did have a program that helped when he was younger also. I think a good special education teacher can make a world of difference.

I adopted my daughter at age 2 and she was already in early childhood intervention. Now she's on her way to third grade and has continually been in special needs classes up to now. She is far past where I thought she might be in taking these classes.

Brady started in early intervention at the age of 4 months...physical therapy then occupational therapy, speech, feeding, and ABA therapy.  He started in special ed preschool at 2 years old...turned 3 right after the year started, and now he's going on his 2nd year there:)
