How long do they take to get approved when the Dr. you need to see urgently is out of network?

I guess it depends on the doctor and the insurance...not sure to be honest!  Good luck mama!

With my insurance (Tricare), referrals usually take 48-72 hours.

With us, it took about a week, but in that time I was faxing paperwork to the therapist, waiting on them at accept ds, isurance pretty much said ok when I called 2 days prior to seeing the new therapist.

It really depends on the insurance, doctor, and what all involved-I have had as fast as the same day to 9 months--Hope it works out fast for you!!

Thanks guys. The Dr. already has DS's " book " of a file already and has agreed to take his case so now all we can do is wait for the insurance to approve it since he is out of network.

It depends on the doctor and our insurance. It takes anywhere from same day to 6 months
