What does a low white blood cell count mean? Got DS's routine labs back and things are looking off more than usual.

I'm honestly not sure...I *think* a high white blood cell count means an infection, but I'm honestly not sure!  Hugs mama!

It can mean a low-functioning immune system. There can be different causes for it. Make sure to follow up with his doctor ASAP. I hope it all turns out ok.

Thank you so much guys!! I am worried because most of the immune system is in your colon and with him having so many major colon issues I am sure it is related. I am just waiting to hear back from the Dr.
