ok so I have now been to my ob and a specialist, both say something is wrong, and most women will have a misscarriage, there is a lot of fluid on the neck, and some on stomach and back, they had a new test that i was told been in the making for 15 years and released 2 weeks ago, there is a lab that can check babys cromosones threw moms blood, my results come back in 10 days. thing is it scares the crap out of me them saying most pregnancys like this end with a miscarriage, and yet dont tell me any dos and dont, i know coffee caffine double chances of it, just read that, but are there othe things I should know to or not to do?

First of all, welcome to the group mama!  Hugs!  I know this must be hard!  I honestly don't think there's anything you can do, but I might be wrong...just keep eating healthy and drinking plenty of water and taking your prenatals.  How far along are you right now?

(((Hugs)))

The only other things I can think of is limit stress and try prenatal yoga.

Did they tell you what it is about the chromosomes? That would give you more info to work with.

I agree with Darby that there is probably nothing that you can really do and if it happens, by no means should you blame yourself. I miscarried at about 7 weeks. When I first started bleeding, I went to the OB and she did an u/s and told me that the baby didn't look like a baby should look at 6 1/2 weeks and that I would probably miscarry. I went home and did everything I could, resting up and everything, eating well, etc and I miscarried a few days later. If it is inevitable, there is nothing you can do to prevent it. Hugs to you!

With that said, I know of a few moms who were told they would miscarry, have a still born or that the baby would die shortly after birth and the doctors were wrong. Try not to stress, keep taking care of yourself and that is the best you can do for yourself and baby.

I'm sorry mama. As someone who has lost 11 children to miscarriages I know how you feel. There is nothing that you can do just try your best drink plenty of water and take it easy.

Sorry you're going through this mama!! I had a missed miscarriage and had to have a D&C. So I don't have experience with regular miscarriages.

I'm thinking of you and just know that everything happens for a reason.
