I'm curious..for those of us whose kids have multiple medications to take daily what kind of over the counter meds do you give them when they are sick if any? Are you afraid it will react to the current meds they are on? Which have worked and which do you stay away from? Thanks! :)

The only OTC medication I give my son is Tylenol or Motrin when he has a fever...that's about it.  OH and he does get Claritin for his allergies during allergy season.  He has no problem with taking either of those.  Good luck!

My youngest takes Claritin daily. Technically we have a script for it but its cheaper OTC and the exact same thing. Other than that, we use cough and cold meds and pain/fever reducers as needed. We've started giving them vitamin c since we all keep getting sick, but I guess that's not really a med is it? Helps though!!!

I always ask when he is put on a new med.  I also ask if his meds can be taken together, since sometimes they interact in a negative way.  I only tend to give him Children's Tylenol or Children's Advil, and no other OTC meds unless the doctor has specifically recommended it and I have verified it is safe with his other meds.  Ask the doctor or the pharmacist to be sure.

Tylenol or Advil

Lil Critters gummy vitamins

I am also going to put mine on probiotics.

Also in the spring and summer my kids take Zyrtec for allergies.

Just pain reliever. I have never considered any other medicine so in sure I would ask the dr ad or pharmacists to know if there are reactions.
