Marriage. Just an observation I discovered today :)

One of my friends asked me today how I clean a wedding ring. I then decided to look at mine to decide if it needs cleaning (probably does), and I look around it. It has some scratches on it...many scratches. It is almost like a symbol. There will be times when your marriage gets "scratched" Problems will arise, and and a part of you will be injured for a short time like a scratch. But the beauty of the ring is still there. The shining, the sparkling moments still overpower the scratches. It is just a matter of how you see the ring. Do you see all the scratches, the damages, or do you see the brightness and shiny parts of the ring, hence your marriage? :) Just an observation I had today!

That's a great analogy about marriage, maybe even life, in general.  :)

Nicely put! I don't have a ring but the imagery isn't lost on me. ;-) My marriage had huge gashes for a while but they've healed. ;-)
