5mo to be assessed soon

So as I have mentioned before, my 2yo has suspected ASD/SPD. This morning during therapy, his DS and I were discussing his little brothers odd behavior. He tends to punch himself while nursing, has stiff arms (I can't raise his arms above his head without him standing up), he screams whenever he gets dressed, and entirely refuses tummy time.

My 2yo used to refuse tummy time. He didn't crawl til he was a year old. He regularly hurts himself. He dislikes a variety of fabrics and is quite happy to be naked. Its like the story is repeating itself.

Our DS sent an email to the lady that does elegibility assessments and he will be evauated ASAP. I'm scared. Sigh.

Anyone have more than one kiddo with ASD or SPD? How soon did you notice it in the second one?

I don't have that experience. You're in my thoughts.

If you're referring to your 5 month old, I honestly don't think much can be done at this early in life.  I've never heard of a child that young being diagnosed with either of those  you mentioned.  My son was diagnosed with Autism at 18 months old which is still VERY young.  Hugs!

I am thinking maybe she is seeing the same signs in 5m old as her 2 yr old and is going to have Early Intervention evaluate the baby...not try and get dx. That is how I read it anyway?

Good luck. I would have your baby looked at as well if I were you.

Yeah. He is showing many of the same signs. That is the big concern and early intervention is very focused in well...eally intervention. Lol.

5mo. My 2yos DS is concerned that the 5mo is showing many of the same signs.
