MY SON IS THREE ALMOST FOUR AND I TOOKHIM TO THE EYE DOCTOR INTHE SUMMER OF 2012 THEY TOLD ME HIS EYES WERE FINE. SO WE CAME BACK IN THE BEGINNING OF JANUARY THEY TOLD ME HE HAD ALOT OF INFLAMMATION IN HIS EYES SO THE DR PUT HIM ON STEROID EYE DROPS SO WE WENT BACK MONDAY AFTER TWO WEEKS OF THE DROPS AND I WAS TOLD HE HAS EARLY SIGNS OF CATARACTS. HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD TO DEAL WITH THIS? I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY HELP OR ADVICE ON HOW TO DEAL WITH THIS!
Not personally, but a friend's son was diagnosed a bit older than 1. She had to push the doc's to send her to a specialist, she just felt something wasn't right. He ended up having a couple of eye surgeries. He's now 2 1/2 and doing just fine!
Thanks everyone I got the new eyedrops last night and they burn his eyes so bad he just cried and screamed. I hate holding him down and doing this to him. Especially if they are not going to help! I don't know what to do.
I was born with cataracts but never effect besides eye doctors notice -
