What is an AFO? I am sorry for not knowing.
Thanks. I am not sure. Have you asked your doctors if they know of anywhere?
When our son outgrows his leg braces we just give them back to his pt. I'm not sure what she does with it. Maybe ask a pt person
You might want to check with Easter Seals (http://www.easterseals.org/) to see if they take donations of old outgrown AFOs to help other children who might not afford them. If that fails, you might want to check with your orthotist or PT for nonprofits to donate them to help others, and this is so you can get a tax deduction off of your tax return.

Hands splints and elbow splints can be donated and reused again. But from what i am told from trying to donate my sons old afos is that cause they are custom made to fit your child's feet they can't be used again by another child.

We have SMO's and I know they are cast to the feet. So there is no donating. My guess is AFO's woudl be the same way.
