 I read that article and it made me angry too. I can see congress holding our kids hostage so that they can then pretend that they are the saviors of the day.

 Politicians often forget the value of an education when it comes to job preparation and adulthood for the mild to moderate disabled who could support themselves with the right education.  They do not realize that it costs taxpayers more in the long run not funding these programs enough in the long run. It is part of the reason why Social Security has become more expensive and will run out sooner thanks to some government and corporate policies out there. We need to write our politicians to make sure these programs are not cut in funding.

This is the reason my son is still in school! Now your going to take THAT away?!! So what, now I'll have to file for disability, which I'll never get! I'm beginning to hate this country! I can barely survive now.I love my son's teachers'! He has improved like 60% just in 1 report card! This isn't right!! I'm not sure how to do it, but we need a meeting! You can not take away my son's education.

I just don't understand this. Why would you take from education at all?! Pell grants are exempt from this, why?! Who is the idiot who ever thought it was ok to take from education? Without education, none of them would be up there making these decisions!

It's very shortsighted.  They don't realize they have a choice, pay for a good education now and have productive citizens in a few years or ignore them now and pay out the tush later to support those kids who, if they had a proper education, would be working.
