Confused

My daughter is 6 and doesn't have a diagnosis yet, but here is what we do have:

Clumsy when running or jumping
Retention problems
Poor balance
Significant developmental delays
Bursts out laughing or crying or both at the smallest things
Forgets which way clothes go on (we are usually wearing undies backwards)
Significant speech problems
And has to have routine... Anything changes, she gets very emotional

Anyone have any ideas? Doctors are thinking mild CP from lack of oxygen due to undiagnosed placental abruption. What do yall think?

I honestly don't know mama.  I would make sure to get more than one opinion on her.  Have they run any tests on her?  Have you seen a neurologist?  How about a developmental pediatrician?  Hugs!  Hope you get some answers soon:)

I hope you get some answers soon! I wouldn't even attempt to make a guess because the things on your list could be associated with so many different things. Sounds like maybe the doctors are on the right track. Does she have high or low muscle tone? Have they done any genetic testing, chromosome tests, etc?

1 mom liked this
They haven't really done anything, I have been waiting for the neurologist to call but they still haven't. She does have a mental evaluation coming up next week, maybe that will give us an idea where she stands mentally. This test was ordered by SSI, so just maybe...

I hope you get answers soon. Like the other ladies have said those could be signs of many different things.

It took almost 6 months to see the first specialist but after that it was a lot  easier getting in to see the other ones for the first time. Just hang in there and it will happen.

My Second time around & loving it!
