a crib like bed for bigger child

my son is 5 and a little to big for a crib, he is able to crawl so a twin bed does not work. and i do not know what to do. is there a such thing a a giant crib and how do you go about getting one.

welcome , im joy ,,,i put my kid on a mattress on the floor , so i didnt have to worry about him falling

I would put a mattress on the foor, baby- proofed room and a good gate in the doorway ( one that can open and close.

U could make one. I have fun building things or drawing things I want to build. A giant crib would be fun like with a twin sized mattress. Not trying to be mean please don't take offense! I just think it would fun coming up with a cool design for one

But yes I would put a mattress on the floor as the other women suggested.

YES-

we have one--it is called a sleep safe bed-it is ALOT of money but we had 1/2 the insurance pay for it and half his county waiver pay for it

 You could try those little furniture outlets to, a lot of time they get their furniture for people who build/make furniture as a hobby instead of a big name company who builds furniture. You might be able to have them put you in to contact with someone who can make you one for cheaper. Otherwise I would talk to your county like the person above said they may pay for something like that if you qualify.
