My son missed almost a week due to a bad flare up with his Reactive Airway Disease. He came close to be admitted into the hospital. Dd had the flu and missed a week from headstart. They dont get sick often but when they do it hits them hard

More days than I can count! If she wasn't out for a doctors appointment or some test or treatment then she was missing from being sick. Infection after infection!! It gets old fast. Thankfully I have an awesome boss and I take her to work with me when she is sick. I just bring my laptop And movies and she sits in the office and watches them all day. And the girls I work with just love her :)
The bad thing is that she is falling so far behind from all the days she has missed.

Oh my goodness yes! I swear we can't get ahead. Like the last poster said if its not appts it sickness!! Stomach flu for two days last week, two days the week before, a full two weeks for viral flu a couple months ago (thank god for snow days!).... And now we have three days straight of appts!! The amazing life of a special needs child! Luckily flu season is about over here... Now we have to get through spring appt season for her. BUT tomorrow is the worlds best day EVER- new wheelchair! I can hardly control my excitement as DD needed a new one soooo bad. :)

My daughter missed 6 weeks of school between September and mid-February because of illness (that doesn't include Thanksgiving or Christmas breaks). At that point we finally had to pull her and homeschool.

Just one, he was still running a small fever so I had him stay home.
