I decided I need to get rid of this baby weight (22months later) and start feeling better about myself... So I have taken up running. I'm starting REALLY slow, as I have arthritis and have NEVER run before. So for 4 mornings now, I have gotten up at 5:30 and run 1/2 a mile, (I know- but I said I was starting small!!) lol

It is SO hard! I feel like I'm dying by the end! How do runners do this??? Does it get easier?!? Holy crap!

I have no experience with distance running. I am one of those people that is a natural sprinter so I run out of steam very quickly. My dh tried to help me become a distance runner with him but I just couldn't get my mind and body to cooperate. Now when the weather is nice I do try to do a little more biking.

Starting slow is the best way I know that much! I think that it does get easier as you run more and more.

You crack me up!  It is hard at first...it will get easier as you keep doing it though:)  Have you thought about the Couch to 5K program?  It's a walk/run plan for beginners.  Hugs!

I did a couch to 5k podcast last time. It worked really well for me. I'm only four weeks post c-section but I'm hoping to start it up again in a month or so. It does get easier!

LOL, that would be me too. I can do the 11 mile bike trail and a 1.5 hour cardio strength training class, but can't run to save my life (ok, maybe I could if someone was trying to kill me, lol)!
