OT: Red, White & Blue Burgers Recipe for a Festively Delicious Fourth of July
The Fourth of July means lots of things to different people, but for me, one of those things is burgers. There's simply nothing better than kicking back at a BBQ with family and friends with burgers and beers. It's as American as you can get, but you can up the patriotism even more by making these red, white, and blue burgers.
This recipe from That's So Jenn is adorable and ridiculously good. The white comes from the bun, the red from tomatoes, and the blue is from blue cheese. Topped with a flag, they're festively fabulous.
Red, White & Blue (Cheese) Sliders
- 1 package 80/20 ground beef
- Dinosaur BBQ sauce
- Liquid smoke (just a touch)
- Chopped onions
- Lawry’s seasoned salt to taste
- Slap Ya Mama Cajun seasoning to taste
Mash ground beef in a bowl and start forming with your hands.
Pour in barbecue sauce and a small drop of liquid smoke. Mix to incorporate.
Chop onions and add to meat, continually shaping into slider form. Season with Lawry’s salt and Cajun pepper.
Form into sliders by making a small ball and lightly pushing down in the center using your index finger.
Season on both sides with additional Cajun spice and grill to your liking.
Place on a sliders bun and top with tomato, onion, and blue cheese.
