Ty lost weight and the ironic thing is he has been eating like crazy in addition to his formula! So they upped his formula calories. But he's miserable with reflux and gastroparesis. So they have him starting carafate which coats the lining of his stomach and esophagus. We are giving his nexium 2 more weeks to start helping and if it doesn't they are repeating his ph probe and starting him on a motility med again and we are going to discuss a j tube.

Then they switched his feed around. He can't tolerate getting it 24hrs a day so he's on it 18 hours a day. But we have to make sure he gets 1400 calories a day, his formula gives him 1000. Then we have to get an extra 12oz a day in him to meet his fluid requirements. So we are gonna try E028 splash which is a juice but its like his elemental formula.

Just really feel bad for Ty. He's miserable.

Tube that goes into his small intestine rather than feeding his stomach
