Washington

I've just always liked it, except for the fact that it will get cold and we are told we will get snow on the news and we never get any except once in a blue moon. :( At least in my area.

I also live in WA. Seattle. I love it! Great Children's Hospital, good special education, lots of liberal vegetarian progressive minded people. Mild climate... Though I could do with more sunshine. And barely any bugs!! :)

I'm in Washington right now also :) I actually love it. It's beautiful, lots of outdoor stuff, and its easy to find all the specialists and services we need. We are moving to Kentucky though.

I grew up in Washington :). It is beautiful there. We're in Arkansas now and I love it here. My only issue is that we live in a small town, our school district stinks, and it's been harder than heck to get the kids in therapy and find good drs. Overall, for a sn family, this may not be a good choice.

We're in Iowa because our families are here.  My husband and I both grew up here, moved away after college, moved back after our first son so he'd grow up around his grandparents.  Now with the 3 little kids too all being SN, we just need the extra hands so do not see moving away.  Honestly the family is the good, you get out of town a bit and there's space, and peace, and air - and farm smell  :/ .  In terms of climate, services, schooling, etc - don't move to Iowa.  We have a great children's hospital, but it is 1.5 hours away.  That would also be the closest for most ASD therapies for my son, which is not the most doable.  We have very hot, humid summers with lots of bugs, freezing cold winters with tons of snow, rainy springs, and too short falls!  But it's home.

I lived in Ames and loved her physical therapist there! We loved there while my DH was in grad school.
