Muscle relaxers

So baby is now 21 months old.. And something I tried not to think too much of has now been brought up by the PT.. She thinks its time for him to start on muscle relaxers for his quadriplegic spastic CP. I've seen one other child on muscle relaxers and she didn't move around at all! That scared me! I don't want my baby to turn into a vegetable!! What are experiences you've had? What's been done? Is there something you wish you had done differently? Please I need some advice!

My son takes baclofen. It doesn't make him a zombie. It stops his legs and such from cramping and spazzing. He also gets Botox. Most cp kids don't get muscle relaxers.
