Raising a child with special needs is very overwhelming

I am raising my nephew that has MR, Failure To Thrive, Stage 4 Kidney Failure. I love him with all my heart he is so silly always happy it could be a bad day as we'll and he still manage to smile & laughs like nothing is wrong. Auntie loves her lil Cory no matter what I will not stop caring for him I love his life.

Welcome! Yes it can be overwhelming but so fullfilling at the same time. Especially when they are for the most part a happy child.

He is a lucky little boy. I have an 8 mo old baby with DS, so far, she seems more like my older typical kids than a child with special needs. She is very active, curious etc...I'm sure we will face challenges but the joy she brings to my life makes it worth it.

Weclome.

I saw your title and thought, "yes, yes it is!"

I cant say my son is always happy... But i love him, and dont want him to go anywhere. I wish things were easier for him.. And for me.. But, we have each other and hubby who is wonderful.. And all things that are hard... Are worthwhile.
