Diagnosis Finally!

Well, we finally got our diagnosis yesterday.  My 5 year old daughter has moderate Autism.  Our next step is to see the psychiatrist to confirm it......then we will be getting her set up with SSI and/or the Waiver.  She has been in therapy for over 2 years and we finally got the diagnosis.

I am relieved to know that I am not the only one seeing her problems with learning and will be able to get her the right help for her to blossom.

Now waiting on her older brother to get his evaluation apt......

Thanks!  We are happy too.  Just hope we can do what is right for her and help her succeed.  She is so bright.

From what I understand there is a program called the Waiver that helps pay for the things she needs like diapers (which we already get through another program) and I was told they would provide a trained sitter if we need one and also something about an iPad? We have her a tablet that she loves and does very well with.
