Without. Fighting isn't healthy for anyone. The kids would be so stressed by it too.

I would rather be alone than with someone extremely difficult. 

BUT everyone has their own preceptive on what "extremely difficult" is.....

Without.  Being a little annoying or a little difficult I could deal with, but constantly difficult would not work for me!

With out. I've been thru the difficult ahole bit with my first DH. If I had wound up with another one I would stay single.
