So yesterday we received a letter in the post, which reads:
"Attached is the above mentioned child's adoption order and the birth certificate to be handed in for registration of YOUR child.
According to the provisions of the Children's act, your adopted child is now for all purposes regarded as YOUR child as if born to you and you are now for all purposes regarded as the parent of the adopted child. Therefor you are personally responsible to register the child under her new name and surname."
This is the letter that makes all the wait, prayers and tears worth while!! Yay, so my baby is now officially ours. (And this came on the day she turned 10months old! So happy I could cry.
