Maybe it's just me, but I don't like them at all. It's one thing if it's incorporated into a pirate picture, but seeing skulls on onesies just makes me cringe.

My ds had ties, shirts, pants, shoes and belts with that emblem on them.(Has since he was a baby) He is a boy. He loves them. And the punisher symbol too. And he has a mohawk. He is also a super smart kid, great at piano, respectful and generally a great kid. Don't judge.

Huh? I'm not judging your child or any other for wearing them. I'm just saying I don't like them.

When you said you cringed that is what it sounded like. Generally people don't post about something that they just don't like they post about it because they see it as a bad thing.

I really do not care for them either.  These days pirates are more Halloween costumes, but in history they were killers.  Why celebrate such a sad peice of history?

I don't so much care about the older kids having them. My 11 yr old DD had the monster high scull (pink/white heart eye's)for her bday cake and all..... But I would not do it for little kids. I want little kids to look like little kids. They grow up so fast.
I found a shirt at old navy I really liked it until I looked close and noticed that it was sculls hidden in the Hawaiian pattern.... No go.

Nope, I just don't like the look. What other people put their kids in sure isn't my business. I just get a little frustrated trying to find cute boy clothes that don't have skulls on them is all. I recently bought a pack of little boys' unders and there was one with skulls stuck in the middle of the rest.

My guess(its called a guess b/c I could be wrong) is that its a generational thing.

I think pirates and all that pirate stuff is way cool, and boys should play pirateship and cowboys and indians, and cops and robbers.

BUT, I don't care for the skull and crossbone look on a baby or a onesie.  It was a big theme last year at BabyGap.
