He looked really tiny next to all the other campers and he seemed kind of unsure of himself as I was driving away. It starts at 5 years old so he's probably the youngest since his bday was just last week. Baby let out a wail b/c Bubba was leaving him and I was kind of feeling weepy too. I don't know what's wrong with me. I already raised kids who went to day camp and later sleep away camp and I know they always have a great time and it's good for them. But still that forlorn looking little face got to me....

Aw, it's hard, especially if the baby was having a hard time saying goodbye. How did he do? Did he have a good time?

He told me he wants to back tomorrow so I guess he liked it. He was starving because he didn't eat his lunch at all, didn't even drink. Turns out the counselors get their lunch break then and the director and his assistant are watching all those kids. I guess he'll figure out he better eats instead of playing.

I'm glad he had a good time. It seems a little crazy that all the counselors take their break at the same time, but I guess it is what it is. Hopefully he'll be able to sit still long enough to eat on his own today. This is the YMCA camp?
Hope you all have a better drop-off this morning, Malley!

Yes, it's at the Y. As we drove up today he told me some boy pushed him yesterday and that he didn't want to play with those boys anymore. Sigh. The baby cried a little.
