How long did it take for you to get it after you got the letter saying you were approved? We got our letter on saturday saying the credit was approved and should be mailed in the next 2 weeks, but I have heard it usually dosent take that long.  I keep checking the IRS website and it tells me nothing.

We actually got our check in the mail the same day we finally got our approval.  But that was for 2010, and that was after a long period of sending documents back and forth, what a PITA!!!

I used direct deposit and the day they said it would be deposited, it was.

In 2010 we were audited as we're many in FL it took FOREVER almost 5 months but we finally got it! That was our last year getting it and it was a large sum so it was worth the wait! 2011 was much faster but it was just a regular return! It varies from state to state! GL it should get there when they say it will

We actually didn't get a notice saying that our claim was approved after it was reviewed. Our tax credit appeared in our bank account (via direct deposit) four weeks after we received a letter from the IRS saying that our claim was under review--after we sent it a TON of additional documentation, of course. Good luck!

We got our credit several years ago, so we didn't have to go through the same process that is currently taking place.. ours was part of our normal return for our 07' taxes.

Good luck!

Our letter said it would take 4-6 weeks, but when we checked the IRS website one day there was a date and the deposit was made on time.  I want to say that was about 2 weeks after we got our letter.

Just got our letter today. It said 6-8 weeks....  Hope it isn't that long!
