Hi all! My name is Krissy my husband and I have two beautiful bio daughters, 13 and 3. We cannot have anymore bio children but we would love to adopt independently. Any advice on where to start?

well you need to read up on the diffrent types of adoption.. independant domestic adoption new born, agency adoption domestic new born, foster adopt, international adoption and see what fits your family best. some agencies do not post their cost so you have to ask for their free information packet...I have about a zilllion of them... lol... also what age or age range..

Welcome! If you could answer some of the questions April posted, I think you might get better advice...

-Age range of child(ren)? Would you consider sibling groups? Special needs?

-Domestic or international adoption?

I agree that you're best to start by reading up on the different types of adoption, if you haven't already, and considering what might be the best fit for your family.

Please if you do choose to go agency, ask if any of us has used the agency. there personal time with the agency could be a world of information to you.

Welcome! I have two bio boys, 12 and 10 yrs. our adopted DD is 3yrs old. We adopted out of foster care and it was a wonderful experience (plenty of ups and down but overall it was great). DD was paced with us at 18 das old.

Welcome!!  There are many options for adoption...so I would start researching.  Good luck!  And, feel free to come to this group for support.
