starting psychotherapy

My 10 year old son is starting therapy on Friday. He has been having many behavioral and emotional struggles. I thought I could handle things. My son has been having many stressful symptoms.
He saw a Psychologist 2 years ago,but did not address his Adoption issues. I have found a Therapist that works with children Adopted through foster care and addresses many issues. I will do anything for my boys. Please wish him well.

I do wish him well, and you too. I think finding a therapist who "gets it" with adoption issues is huge... I hope this is a step towards healing for him.

Thank you moms. I agree finding the "right" help is hard to find. My son and I had a heart to heart talk about this new journey in his life,he seemed so relieved today,in a good mood. Hopefully I will have positive updates.

I commend you on knowing that you can't do it all by yourself. Your ds will get the professional help he requires. Wishing you and yours a calm wellness.

cheers, donna
