So the paralegal goes on vacation and now were just at a stand still the papers to start the adoption process. The papers have been done for almost a month all that needs to be done is to sign them and file them. She's been saying shes waiting on the lawyer to give them to her I really just feel like they are wasting time. I just don't know what to do

hello,

we adopted from a family member so I don't know how it works with lots of other people involved. I don't mean to sound insensitive or naive, but couldn't you get the papers, sign them, and take them to the courthouse and have them filed? i did that part on my own when we started the adoption of our daughter. I had a little pamphlet that was like an adoption by numbers kinda thing I got from the courthouse. maybe that's an option for you?

good luck,

heather

I feel your pain. We went to our attorney yesterday to start the finalization process and she was sick...um...thanks for calling...
