I had my Mirena taken out almost 4 weeks ago because we couldn't always find the strings and I got on nuvaring the same day. I have basiclly been bleeding every day since then. I am really starting to wonder if it will ever stop. I was thinking about waiting til next monday or tuesday and see if the bleeding stops after I put in a new ring. I am looking for advice or if anyone has had the same thing happen to them. The bleeding is affecting me because I am always so tired and weak and romanticly with my bf as well... I need help ladies...

Have you called your doctor about it? I've never had any issues when changing birth controls.

I kept thinking that the Mirena made my body think I was pregnant so maybe I had to bleed that much... I haven't called yet

I would call today. It could be normal but it's worth your doctor knowing about. I've never had the mirena so I can't speak for that. I thought about it but after all the comments and reviews I read on it I decided it wasn't for me.

I called and they told me it could take up to 3 months for everything to get back to normal. As long as I am not using like 10 to 12 tampons or pads each day, I am fine

I had horrible periods while I had the mirena in. Worst two years of my life.

My periods were nothing while on mirena but when I had it out, my first period I started hemmoraging. If you aren't having heavy bleeding it is your body adjusting to the hormone changes.
