6 moms liked this

There are times when it is appropriate, and times when it is not.

APPROPRIATE- "My DH came home from work, made dinner and put the kids to bed while I took a bath."

NOT APPROPRIATE- "My DH slept with my sister!"

-or-

"My DH never pays attention to me anymore.  He says I've gained weight, developed varicose veins, and he doesn't find me attractive."

It's ok to simply say "husband".  Using "DH" is not trendy.  It's annoying, especially when used to bitch about your husband, as half these posts do.

How about a new acronym for those times, like AH (A##hole husband) or SH (stupid husband).

Because really, your husband is not being a dear when he takes off his socks in the living room, throws them on the floor, clips his toe nails, and leaves the clippings on the end table.

He's being an IH (idiot husband)

kinda made me cringe at how ridiculous it looks / sounds.

Well think of it this way, DH could also stand for DickHead which when they are acting as one is usually the way my mind reads it anyway.

Seeing as the 'D' in DH can stand for several things.. it's appropriate.

Darling, Dear, Dumb, Dick.... doesn't always have to be a term of endearment.

I'd rather just type out husband.

I saw a post once that looked like this:

Op: What's DH mean?

Comment: Dick Head Oops. I mean darling husband.

And I laughed really really hard!
