My sex life between my husband and I has gone from having sex a few times a week to I will have sex with my husband when he wants it.

I found out that I have a mood disorder and the medications I'm on has caused my labeto to be EXTREAMLY low. I'm only 23 years old and I feel like I'm 43 years old =(
I also wonder if my birth control is affecting my labeto as well. I'm on the depo and feel like I'm going through menopause at times.

I'm very frustrated and get depressed a lot more these days.

Most antidepressants do cause low sex drive but There are some that can increase a woman's sex drive, wellbutrin being one of them. See if you're doc will switch you to one that doesn't cause low sex drive.

Thank you!!
The medications I'm on are Lamictal which is a mood stablizer. Buspar for anxiety. I used to be on an ant- depressent; my Phyc thought that I didn't need it. I still get very depressed. When it comes to the Lamictal is what I can take for I am on the Depo and will not counteract. The next medication I could be on that would not conteract with the Depo in Lithium( which I really don't want to do unless it comes to it).
I just need to see if I can get on an ant-depessent again, a long with my other medications.

1 mom liked this

I know, isn't that horrible? The medications for mood disorders are supposed to make people feel better. Then they take away libido and you end up feeling worse. It makes no sense. It sucks. I'm sorry mama
