From sleeping with other men. We're going to buy our first home next yr so I transferred all $30,000 into my fathers savings account and told dh that he was loaning us the money for our down payment.

I only do this because my dh loves me and is a hard worker he just can't find nothing past minimum wage and we have 3 kids together. We both work but I only work part time and he thinks I work full-time because I always bring home extra money now and then.

We don't have joint accounts so he never knows how much or little my actual work checks are. I had to make some moves on my own because he's checks weren't making enough to save for a down payment and we wanted a house.

and what did you tell your dad about the money???

I don't think a house could EVER be worth sleeping around with other men. Ever.

How sad. :(

Well, I was gonna say that there's nothing wrong with having a safety net, but then I read the explanation.

I guess, this is similar to the 'would you steal to feed your kids' situation? You did what you had to do to provide a home for your family. Would I do it? NO, but to each their own! I just hope you were being SAFE, and now that you have enough for the down payment STOP!
