By there clothes
the car the drive
where they live
where they work ,ect
I don't judge ppl by those things normally. But if I seen a Guy driving a hot pink Cadillac or wearing a fur coat in the summer time I automatically think "pimp." Lol
Initially I don't judge, but first impressions are really important to me. I base my thoughts on people by that, though I still try and give them the benefit of doubt. I'm often right though.
Yes especially when I go to Walmart. Damn that place makes me feel normal.
No , Karma bites back hard! :)
Everyone does in some way or another.
To those that say they do not judge... I have to ask:
Let's say it is getting dark outside and you are walking alone with your young children (if they are grown, imagine they are young). A man wearing tattered clothing, with greasy hair, scruffy facial hair, who is clearly dirty is walking your direction. Now, you do not know this man at all. Does it make you nervous? For the safety of your children, do you make a snap judgement about the man -- because it is better to assume he is a threat and get to safety -- or do you continue to walk towards him as if it is no big deal?
I just truly think that sometimes, for safety reasons, we HAVE to make judgements about people... not because we want to be rude to the person, but because we have to protect ourselves, you know?
That man could be a very nice person... but in the evening when I am walking with my young children, I am not about to give him the benefit of the doubt. It's not worth the risk to me.
Like a lot of the others have said, I think everyone makes snap judgements when they see people. I know that if I go to the store in my PJ's and slippers, ppl are going to assume that I am lazy and they are gonna look at me and think WTF?
