Inlaws Mob my Kids

My inlaws think my kids are weird because they get freaked out being mobbed at family gatherings.

They are little individuals, not dolls to be passed around!

They are social when given a chance to warm up. But they aren't used to being in a small room with a large crowd where even my DH and I feel claustrophobic.

Not to mention, the babies rarely see these people, and that is no fault of mine because there's always an open door. But when it's convenient for the inlaws, then they dont want to be embarrassed because the babies won't go to them.

Ticks me off.

So hold them & tell people they're not feeling well so you're going to hold on to them.

I tell people right off that my kids are shy and need time to warm up to new people and places. If they won't listen to you, I wouldn't let them see the kids. You are their mother, do what's best for them!

I am with you!

When my DD was little she would totally freak at these "strangers" rushing up to her, grabbing her, loudly talking to her, etc.    Pissed me off totally...........
