Mom Confessions Mom Confessions

I'm getting fat.

Posted by Anonymous   + Show Post

Between work, school, and my kids. I feel like I have no time to take care of myself. I'm getting fat and I'm mad, sad, and frustrated about it. I generally eat very healthy, but lately I have been putting on weight anyway, so I think what's the point of even trying anymore? The end.

I do the same thing as you do. But, I eat healthly and watch how much I eat. At work I am always moving around so losing weight isnt hard unless you pounding down fast food and starbucks.

I don't know if I'm gaining I'm too scared to step on a scale. I figure as soon as I recover I'm getting on a healthy diet (I breastfeed) and exercise a lot before I step on a scale.

I'm panicking that after six pregnancies, my body will just stay big. I had finally slimmed down.

Caloric deficit

Take in less calories than you burn. There are 3500 calories in one pound. if you take in 100 calories less per day than you burn, you lose 1 pound in 35 days. 350 per day means 1 pound lost in 10 days.

Simple math. To increase the rate, you work it on both ends, meaning you take in LESS calories and burn MORE calories. VERY doable. What is missing, for most is discipline and desire, and the willingness to sacrifice.

FWIW, I found a product called PGX to be very helpful in appetite control.

http://www.pgx.com/

No I don't work for them or sell it. It does help, but the solution is in you.Desire, discipline, willingmess to sacrifice.

In a nutshell? If you ate the exact same things, and exercised no more than you do now.....but simply reduced portion sizes by 10%.......waaa laaa.....weight loss.

Eat better, eat less, exercise more? Accelerated weight loss.
