If your child told you they were gay/lesbian? I for one would be shocked and not nessacerily estatic about it. But I would still love my child unconditionally and be so proud of them for being themselves. I look at my 4 and a half month old and hope all the time that when she is older she'll be able to tell me whatever she wants to and hope she is never ashamed of who she is or what she believes.

I wouldn't feel any different than if my Son were straight. If He is gay or bi, it wouldn't make any difference. I'd be a hypocrite if it bothered me, anyway, as I am bi. I would support Him 100%, but also worry about His safety, though, since there are so many awful people who hate gays and think it's ok to hurt them.

I would have the same reaction as if my son or daughter told me they were straight. Id say "oh. Excellent. Love you and thanks for telling me. Want some potatoes?"
Wouldn't change a thing. I love my babies for who they are not who they love. :)
