What ever we can hunt. We have had frog, deer, raccoon, squirrel and wild pig. I hope to catch more different animals during this hunting season, like beaver, ducks, other birds or armadillo. My family loves to eat different kinds of meat. Deer and raccoon being the favorite. I figure if there is ever a reason to live off the land my family will be golden. Now let me say the meat is prepared properly.
Edit: What would draw the line for you on what you would feed your family? For us there really isn't an animal that we wouldn't try.
You would believe the people I run into that think we are so cruel for hunting animals. I tell them it has a better life than the cows, chickens, and pigs we eat. It doesn't live in filth and no hormones added. It eats what nature intended. Glad to see others feel the same.
avoid skunk. I swear, even if you clean it properly, you still smell the stink. *gag*
Cool. I've had all of that. Beaver is really good, but really fatty.
You sound like you're related to my FIL lol. He's not afraid to try anything and neither is DH. I can do deer, duck and probably any bird maybe but I don't know about a raccoon or armadillo lol.
