Its so annoying when people say it is. It doesn't come before my son, it doesn't affect him, it doesn't affect my parenting abilities, it does no harm to anyone or anything. Being a parent, or being pregnant and getting high isn't selfish at all!!... So, ..Bash away!!!

*I DO NOT do it in front OR any where near my son.
I DO NOT spend my money on it
And, my son has EVERYTHING he could possibly NEED and want. For all you a**holes assuming shit.

I smoked MJ while I was pregnant  and I gave birth to a 4lb 3.5 oz little girl. Why because I smoked while I was pregnant. This wasn't stuff I got off the street I grew it myself so I figured it was safer then  buying it off the street, but as I soon realized after having my daughter it didn't matter if I grew it myself or bought it off the street smoking still affected her development and growth while in the womb.

Other then her being very underweight and always falling asleep 2 minutes after starting to feed ( Doctors have told me it may have been a side affect of the MJ use while pregnant) she was a healthy baby. My daughter is now three years old, very smart and doing great.

You'll open your eyes to smoking while pregnant when you are trying to find DOLL clothes to fit your baby because preemie outfits are too big for the baby. Or your sitting there at 3 am trying to get your baby to stay awake long enough to eat. I went through it and it's not fun and If I would have known how much I was going to go through with my baby after she was born because of smoking MJ I would never have let the stuff pass my lips. But hay if that's what you want to do that is your choice just don't whine and cry when/if something bad happens.

Any smoke during pregnancy is bad. If someone is going to use marijuana while pregnant they should use a vaporizer. I used a vaporizer with the advice from my doctor and had a healthy 7lb 11oz baby girl.

Yes it is selfish. It is illegal, therefore you are risking your children, jobs, jailtime, fines, etc. All effecting your family. That is the sole reason it is selfish, because its illegal. Sorry Charlie.

The weed debates are about as useless as religion. No matter how stupid they sound they just wont give in. The real actual facts in life are just too much for some minds to handle.

I agree. I have MS, only relief I've found from the mental And physical pain.

I don't think it makes you a bad parent. It is my medication it works better for me then anything I have tried.

I agree to a point with this. It's a slippery slope. We all have our own opinions on what we consider a good or bad parent so what she thinks may or may not be neglectful may not fall in line with what others may think. Merely a matter of perception.

I know plenty of women that have smoked it during thier pregnancies and had perfectly healthy babies.  Sometimes your baby is going to be sick, ect., even if you do everything right.  Sometimes your baby is going to be perfectly healthy even if you do everything wrong.  I don't understand that but that is the reality of things.

If you are smoking marijuana for a medical condition then I can understand.  I am fully aware of the medical benefits of marijuana although you would be doing your body a service by choosing a different way other than smoking to "take the medicine".  Anything you put into your lungs has a negative effect on them no matter what anyone says.

If you are doing it for enjoyment then I'm going to tell you a secret....you need counseling.  People who do it for enjoyment are only trying to mask the pain of something that has went wrong in their lives.  I can't say I blame anybody for wanting to cover the pain, wanting to mask something that makes you feel horrid.  Sadly, you may not even realize....it may be something you have pushed way down to never be dealt with but your mind knows it still there and it is causing you pain.  I know that it is something that is best dealt w/though.  People are broken, everyone one of us, and we find different ways to deal w/our brokenness, pot smoking is just one of those ways.  Wouldn't it be better to not feel the need for it though, to not feel broken anymore??  Wouldn't you find better things to do w/your money and better ways to spend your time??

I don't see it as any different than drinking aside from the fact that it is illegal
