I have two kids and had my tubes tied. Well lately I've been having the urge to have a reversal...what y'all think?

I was just going to post a question about this! You must have ESPN! LOL Anyway, I think it is great, if that is what you want. My question was: Is it cheaper to have a reversal, or IVF?

My only thought here is this: Think back to when you had your tubes tied, and more importantly, the reason you had it done. Remember the factors that influenced the decision in the first place. What has changed that makes you want to have them untied? Do you think this is just a phase, maybe baby fever? If it's something you truly want to do, then I say go for it! Just be sure you really wanna do it and you don't have any second thoughts.

I think if its what you wanna do, go for it. Personally, I would never get mine reversed.

as long as you will love the child and have the availability too support it. Also if there a father involved who agrees to help raise the baby, get going! Have fun!!!'

Btw, im not positive but I think ivf cost more. Also if you get a reversal you can try as many times as
u like but after you may still need birth control. Talk to your SO and your Dr. If that doesn't work consider foster care or adoption as a possible answered. GL!

Thanks for the insight and ivf does cost more. I have pondered this idea for the last three years. I had a stillborn which just took all out of me and I thought I would never want to experience that again, but I believe i'm ready.

I had it done in 2007. Been pregnant twice miscarried both times and out of the 8 surgeries I've had it was the most painful one I've ever been thru. They take alot of your insides out and set it on your stomach to get to the tubes. Not fun and we're still TTC.
