I did not use household manager I uses that I was a sahm. Someone else said that I just simply liked it. Read the post better.

Funny in the last week I have had 4 job offers and the one interview I had so far the MAN that did the interview said he called me because he liked that I had it on my resume. I also had talked to a women about a interview next week and while on the phone she said she was overly impressed with my resume and complemented me on putting it. So to each their own.

Also I have had many professors tell me to list it.

Quoting Ataemommy:

I wouldn't hire anyone who would.

Quoting momoftwo0406:

I'm taking a class right now all about building resumes and yes you should. It is considered experience.

Then your professors can't do simple Google searches to find out that listing "household manager" is an actual salaried job position that requires experience. There is even a school for it called the Starkley International Institute for Household Management. So their "docterns" (I think you mean doctorates) are pretty worthless.

Take your own advice:

I would like to disagree with you since I'm taking business class and every professer I have had has said to do that. So your saying some 10 people with docterns are wrong? It is considered experience and should be listed.

I was told to put "household manager"

Sadly, you were told wrong. That is a real employment position that pays money. It is often taking care of a large estate or manor, scheduling household care duties for the owner.

I thought the OP wanted to create an app for SAHMs....

Quoting -Strawberry-:

I don't think so, but I do think employers should have more of an understanding view when you tell them you have been a SAHM.
