do military pay tax in?

My dd bd is air force stationed in ca from tx. He owes back child support so I was wondering if he pays in taxes and files for a tax return? I would just like to figure out if I should expect to get anything...

Yes they have to file taxes its a job.

Yes they do, however if a service was deployed that income is not taxable.

His housing isn't taxed and if he was deployed to certain places it isnt taxed

Yes, and you should tell his commanding officer if you can, so they can make sure he pays it. PM me if you have questions. I have a military ex too.

His salary is taxed just like anyone else's, unless he's deployed to a tax free zone.
